Serving Among Sudanese Refugees in Egypt

Sudanese Refugees in Egypt

Since the outbreak of war in Sudan over 18 months ago, the number of Sudanese refugees in Egypt has surged. My wife and I have been serving among these Muslim communities, and we’ve consistently seen God’s work.

One day, while visiting a Muslim family in a Cairo neighborhood, we found their only son was ill. We asked them if we could pray to Jesus Christ for his healing or for the funds needed for surgery. The mother agreed, and we prayed.

Miraculously, just one day later, someone donated the exact amount required for the surgery. Afterward, the mother requested a Bible, eager to learn more about the One who had healed her son. Now, she, her mother, and her husband are all involved in discipleship. This is truly a miracle of Jesus Christ.

The photo below shows the child, Mohamed, sitting between me and my wife.

Amin and his wife Esra work together planting house churches among Sudanese Muslim refugees and other African nationalities. They believe that God will do a great work in northern Sudan to attract souls towards the fold of Christ.
